2nd Chance Success Stories

"Relax" Sign: SOLD
"Relax" sign: Made of 5 pine strips painted in various colors with a wooden "Relax" addition painted in a hammered bronze finish. Perfect for a porch or patio...anywhere with a rocking chair! This is a very light weight sign so it will hang easily.

Christmas 2011 was a handmade/homemade gift giving extravaganza in my household! Here are a few of the projects we completed:

Snowman made from 4X4 posts, wood cutouts, cast iron "Welcome" sign, fabric, craft paint, and other holiday decorations.

This is a framed heart map with each half of the heart displaying the hometown of each person. The heart is matted on red and white polka dot scrapbook paper.

Red Neck Margarita glasses made from a small jar and short candle stick. My family's variation of the Red Neck Wine Glass.

This is a cake carrier that I embellished with the recipient's name in vinyl and lots of ribbon around the handle.

Snowflakes made from toilet paper rolls, glue, white spray paint, and glitter. These were used as decorations and gift packaging.

My sister and I live in homes without fireplaces or a mantle. To solve the stocking issue, I created stocking holders by red-washing two planks of wood, adding drawer pulls, and applying "Twas the night before Christmas..." in vinyl.

The tie snakes were made from old ties that I stuffed with polyfil, glued shut, added a bell and rope to the tail for a rattle, and glued on googly eyes and a tongue.

Here is a wine cork Christmas tree that I glued together and framed. I stained a few cork ends green and added glitter to a few others.
